Data
Transfer
The
DATA-TRANSFER module lets stores share data on customers and makers, financial activity and reports, money-order clearings, photos, etc. With our system, you have a choice of two types of data-transfer-- continuous
communication or periodic Polling. CONTINUOUS COMMUNICATIONS:
|
VPN Communication |
The CONTINUOUS COMMUNICATIONS portion of the DATA-TRANSFER module lets you link up your stores to act as one giant “network”. At one store, you can instantly look up a customer, company, photo, or transaction which occurred in another one of your stores. You don’t need to know which store is keeping the original record. There are no extra steps for the Teller to take; it looks like the information is coming from the computers in that Teller’s own store. Data can be sent by modem, digital phone lines, or by a wireless transmission system. Our system is very fast, transmitting data as quickly as 1.5 MB per minute.
You don’t need a separate data-handling location. If there is a power problem at one store, the data is still shared between the other stores and the rest of the operation is
unaffected. |

POLLING:
|
MODEM Communication |
The
POLLING feature of the DATA-TRANSFER module lets you use a modem to frequently transfer data between stores. Your data can be as current as you need. It can be shared automatically up to 18 times a day, or you can choose to update your data at any given time.
This module also gives an owner a remote “presence”: The owner can be at one location, and control all the other stores from there. You can check on a store’s activity at any time. It looks and feels as if you are sitting right in the other store as you view the files, reports, and monitor the overall activity. |
